Zootown Hedgehog Contract

Please submit the Zootown Hedgehog Contract to us at least 24 hours before you pick up your hedgehog or the Transporter picks up your hedgehog.

Zootown Hedgehogs guarantees that all hedgehogs bred by us are free of any congenital defects for up 6 months of age (regardless of the purchase date). If a hedgehog that came from our breeding herd dies from a congenital defect within 6 months of birth, we will replace the hedgehog. Proof of the congenital defect is required in a written document from a licensed veterinarian who regularly treats hedgehogs. The replacement value will equal the original sale price.

Zootown Hedgehogs gives a lifetime guarantee against Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome (WHS) for all hedgehogs bred by us. If a hedgehog dies of WHS, a necropsy must be performed by OSU Veterinary Diagnostics Laboratory, at the expense of the buyer. If the test results confirm that the cause of death was Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome, then a replacement hedgehog will be provided.

All hedgehogs sold at Zootown Hedgehogs are sold for pets and not for breeding. Should this hedgehog be bred by accident or by intention, the Buyer agrees to pay the Seller $2000.00 for breeding rights or surrender the hedgehog immediately to Zootown Hedgehogs.

Buyer/Adopter agrees to notify Zootown Hedgehogs if they are not able to care for their hedgehog and give them first right of refusal to take the hedgehog back.
The buyer agrees to care for the hedgehog as outlined in the provided care sheet and our website Care Pages.

This contract constitutes the full agreement between the Adopter and Breeder. No other warranty written or verbal is implied. No Health Guarantee is applicable. No guarantee is transferable. By typing your name and date you are agreeing to all terms of this contract.
